Power Pasta with Peas
200 g Power Pasta (Pasta Belani Protein Pasta)
• 200 g green peas (fresh or frozen)
• 1 onion
• 1 garlic clove
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 100 ml creamier light sauce
• 50 g Parmesan (grated)
• salt and pepper to taste
• A handful of fresh herbs (e.g. basil or parsley)
• 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional for a fresh note)
Preparation:
1st Cook pasta : Bring a large pot of water to the boil, add salt and cook the pasta al dente according to the instructions on the packet.
2nd Prepare the peas : While the pasta is cooking, peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Blanch the peas in a small saucepan of lightly salted water for about 3-4 minutes (if they are fresh, otherwise frozen peas are ready to use).
3. Prepare the sauce : Heat the olive oil in a large pan and fry the onion until translucent. Add the garlic and fry briefly until aromatic. Add the peas and fry for about 2 minutes.
4th Pasta and cream : When the pasta is ready, drain it (keep some of the cooking water). Add the pasta to the pan with the peas. If you want a creamier sauce, add the cream sauce now and stir well. Season to taste with salt, pepper and lemon juice.
5th Serving : Sprinkle the pasta with grated Parmesan and garnish with freshly chopped herbs.
